Questions people ask first

Plain answers to the questions Crew & Co. gets most: choosing a service, prices, replies, payments, licences and files.

How do I get started?

Send a short message describing what you need. There is no form to fight with and no commitment in asking.

How much will my project cost?

The price is agreed together before any work starts, and written down so there are no surprises. We quote each job on mutual agreement rather than from a fixed price list.

Who will work on my project?

You’ll have one point of contact. The people involved will depend on the brief and the expertise the work requires. We’ll clarify the approach before proceeding.

How will I know what’s happening?

We’ll agree how and when to share updates at the start, including the points where you can review the work and provide feedback.

Do you work with clients remotely?

Crew & Co. is designed for online collaboration. Share your brief and location, and we can discuss the best way to work together.

Do I need to be technical?

No. You tell us the outcome you want in plain words. We handle the tools, the files and the details, and explain anything that matters in plain language.

How will I know how things are going?

You choose how often you hear from us when we agree the job. After that, updates arrive on that rhythm, so you never have to chase.

What if the first version is not right?

We revise until you are happy. If something is off, tell us and we fix it.

Why not just hire through Upwork, Fiverr or AirTasker?

Marketplaces add service fees of up to 30%, and they often charge both sides — freelancer and buyer. That fee is an extra cost the buyer ultimately carries. Here there is no middleman and no platform cut: the price we agree together is the whole price, so your budget goes into the work itself.

What if I don’t know which service I need?

Describe the problem in a sentence. We place it in the right group and quote it — choosing correctly is our job, not yours.

How fast is a reply?

Within a day. That is a commitment, not a target.

How do payments work for store items?

There is no card form on this site. You request an item, we email payment details, and we email your files after payment.

Can I use the freebies commercially?

Yes, unless an item page says otherwise. What you may not do is resell a freebie as-is.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, gladly. Your files and your plans stay yours.

How do I remove background noise from a podcast?

Usually a cleanup chain: hum removal, noise floor, then loudness matching. The blog post walks through it, or hand us the files and we’ll do it.

What happens to my files afterwards?

You receive everything in usable formats. We keep a backup for an agreed period, then delete on your say-so.

Something else on your mind?

Ask it in one line. We answer within a day, and if the answer is “we’re not the right people for this”, we say that plainly too.
